Mandatory tree-planting bill, pasado na sa Kamara

Pasado na sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa ng Kamara ang panukalang batas na mag-oobliga ng pagtatanim ng mga puno kapag may itatayong anumang residential, commercial, industrial at public building.

Sa botong 2017, walang negative vote o abstention, inaprubahan ng Kamara ang House Bill No. 7373 o ang “An Act Requiring The Planting Of Trees For Any Construction Of Residential, Commercial, Industrial And Public Buildings.”

Layon ng bill na pagbutihin ang kalidad ng kalikasan, bawasan ang epekto ng climate change at maprotektahan ang kapaligiran para sa kasalukuyan at susunod na mga henerasyon.

Oras na maging batas, obligado na ang organisasyon o indibidwal na magsumite ng tree planting plan para makakuha ng building permit.

Nasa ilalim din ng panukalang batas na hinihikayat ang pagtatanim ng indigenious species depende sa lokasyon, klima at topograpiya ng lugar.

Sina Representatives Emmeline Aglipay-Villar, Gary Alejano, Nancy Catamco, Noel Villanueva at Joseph Paduano ang mga pangunahing may akda ng bill.
