SWS: 61-percent ng mga Pinoy ayaw sa same-sex marriage

Kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng Pride Month ay inilabas ng Social Weather Stations (SWS) ang resulta ng kanilang survey kaugnay sa isyu ng legalisasyon ng same-sex marriage.

Ayon sa SWS survey, 61-percent ng mga Pinoy ang hindi pabor “disagree” sa pag-aasawa ng lalaki sa kapwa lalaki o kaya naman ay babae sa kanyang kapwa babae.

Sa nasabi ring survey na ginawa gamit ang 1,200 respondent ay umaabot sa 44-percent ang nagsabi na sila ay matinding tumututol o “strongly disagree” sa same-sex marriage.

Samantalang ang natitirang 17-percent naman ang nagsabi na sila ay “somewhat disagree”.

Ang nasabing survey ay ginawa noong March 23 hanggang 28.

Kamakailan lang ay naging sentro ng mga talakayan ang oral argument sa Supreme Court kung saan ay tinalakay ang petisyon ng ilang grupo ng gustong gawing legal ang same-sex marriage sa bansa.
