Provincial bus ban sa EDSA, ipatutupad simula July 15

Simula sa darating na Hulyo 15, lilimitahan na ang pagbiyahe ng provincial buses sa EDSA.

Sa pahayag ng MMDA, mula ala-5 hanggang alas-10 ng umaga ay hindi na maaring bumiyahe sa magkabilang panig ng EDSA mula Pasay City hanggang Cubao, Quezon ang lahat ng provincial buses.

Ang bus ban ay ipapatupad din tuwing alas-4 ng hapon hanggang alas-9 ng gabi.

Sinabi ni MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia na ang mga provincial buses na galing ng South Luzon ay hanggang Pasay City lamang tuwing umiiral ang bus ban.

Samantala, ang provincial buses na galing Central at Northern Luzon ay hanggang Cubao lamang.

Ayon sa opisyal, ang mga maapektuhang bus ay exempted na sa number-coding scheme.

Ani Garcia, inaasahan nila na aabot sa 2,000 buses ang mababawas sa EDSA habang ang mga lalabag ay pagmumultahin ng P2,000.

Inaprubahan na ng Metro Manila Council ang resolusyon ukol sa bus ban.
