Palasyo sasagot sa quo warranto laban kay Duterte

Tutugon ang Malacañang sa utos ng Korte Suprema kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na sagutin ang quo warranto petition na inihain laban sa kanya ng nasuspindeng abogado na si Elly Pamatong.

Ayon kay Pamatong, ‘illegitimate’ at iligal ang certificate of candidacy (COC) ni Duterte dahil hindi ito inaprubahan ng Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Sa panayam ng media kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, inihayag nito ang kahandaan ng Palasyo na tumugon sa utos ng Korte Suprema.

Binigyan lamang ng SC ang pangulo ng 10 araw para magkomento sa petisyon ni Pamatong.

Matatandaang humalili si Duterte kay Martin Diño na binawi ang kanyang COC para sa pagkapangulo noong 2016 presidential elections.
