Gov’t Corporate Counsel Jurado, sinibak ni Duterte

Inianunsyo ngayon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang kanyang pagtanggal sa puwesto kay Government Corporate Counsel Rudolf Philip Jurado.

Ginawa ni Pangulong Duterte ang pahayag sa kanyang talumpati ngayong gabi sa ceremonial signing ng “Ease of Doing Business Act” at “Act Converting Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology into Davao Oriental State University” sa Palasyo ng Malacañang.

Ang Office of the Government Corporate Counsel (OGCC) ay itinuturing na “principal and statutory law office” ng mga government-owned-and-controlled corporations (GOCC’s), government financial institutions (GFIs), government corporate offspring, government instrumentalities na may corporate powers at government acquired asset corporations.

Inihayag ni Pangulong Duterte na sinibak nito si Jurado dahil sa pagbibigay ng prangkisa na labas na sa kanyang hurisdiksyon.

Hindi naman tinukoy ni Pangulong Duterte kung aling partikular na prangkisa ang ibinigay ni Jurado.

Si Jurado ay fraternity brod ni Pangulong Duterte sa San Beda College of Law.
