Robin Padilla Pushes a Foreigner in Hong Kong for Allegedly ‘Disrespecting’ a Filipina

It wasn’t long ago when Filipino actor Robin Padilla made headlines after allegedly “humiliating” a Korean national by forcing him to speak Tagalog in one episode of the popular show “Pilipinas Got Talent”. The controversy hasn’t died down yet, and the PGT judge sets the internet on fire once again. This time, he was in Hong Kong for a show, and apparently pushed a foreigner for “disrespecting” a Filipina.

In a video shared by Pinoy News Blogger on YouTube, Robin Padilla was seen sharing laughs with a group of Filipinas in a Hong Kong hotel lobby when a foreign man approached them and asked Padilla for a picture as well. The man then gestured to make the woman leave Robin Padilla’s side, which prompted the actor to push the drunk man away.

“Don’t do that to my [fellow] countryman,” the actor blurted. “Don’t do that! Don’t push her!”


Apparently, Robin felt that the man’s gesturing was disrespectful towards the Filipina. However, netizens were divided in their reactions towards Padilla’s actions. Some netizens lauded Padilla for being patriotic, while others criticized him for overreacting. Netizens believe that Padilla could’ve asked the man in a more calm and peaceful way, instead of suddenly pushing him away.

Robin was in Hong Kong for the “Tapang at Malasakit” event of Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte and Baste Duterte.
